The Joy to Life Foundation is proud to partner with the Alabama Department of Public Health to provide free mammograms to women in 29 Alabama counties. Read more.
The Joy to Life Foundation has a simple mission:provide free mammograms in Alabama for medically underserved women ages 40 - 49 who do not have the resources for early detection of breast cancer.
Since being founded in 2001 by breast cancer survivor Joy Blondheim and her husband, Dickie, the Joy to Life Foundation has been able to provide over 5,445 mammograms to date, and 25 women have been diagnosed and successfully treated!
