FREE Mammograms in Alabama
The Joy to Life Foundation is a non-profit organization providing free mammograms for medically underserved women between the ages of 40 - 49 in 29 counties in South Central Alabama. Joy to Life partners with the Alabama Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program, a program of the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) that provides breast and cervical cancer screenings for women who meet the eigibility guidelines.
To date, the Joy to Life Foundation has been able to provide over 5,445 mammograms and 25 women have been diagnosed and successfully treated.

Eligibility criteria for enrollment effective August 1 are:
-- Must be women age 40 -64
-- Must have an income at or below 200% of the poverty level
-- Must have no insurance or be underinsured
