We have been videotaping folks from all over the River Region movin' and groovin' while wearing pink surgical gloves for the Pink Glove Project. What started out as a few months project turned into an 8 month project -- and WOW, has it been fun!
The project started with The Joy to Life supporters creating the largest pink ribbon in Alabama--using only people wearing pink gloves at the 2010 Walk of Life on April 17! The creation of the giant pink ribbon was the culmination of many, many weeks of planning and community participation. Many thanks to all of you who participated. It was impressive and fabulous!
Then, the invitation for the communities to have some fun dancing in the pink gloves was a hit! Numerous local celebrities, organizations, businesses, indivudals have donned the gloves and danced in front of the cameras for the video. The community support has been incredible!
Video snippets have been on YouTube for all to see and behind the scenes' photos were taken to capture the progress. Click the links on the left to connect to the Joy to Life YouTube Channel to view videos or view pictures. The fans of Joy to Life's FACEBOOK page were able to follow the progress as well. The rousing final music video featuring the giant pink ribbon and lots of dancing will be seen on YouTube.com, joytolife.org, breastcancertv.net and more!
A BIG THANK YOU to Microflex Gloves for donating 8000 pink gloves and Big Dreamz Creative for coordinating and filming the Pink Glove Project!
