114 boats and 228 anglers converged on Cooters Pond in Prattville, Alabama for a day of fishing and fun! The event was hosted by BASS Founder Ray Scott and ESPN's "Bass Professor" Doug Hannon along with “Venture Outdoors” TV show hosts Don Day and Rick Redmon acting as event emcees.
The boats blasted off at 6:15 after a moment of silent prayer and the singing of our National Anthem. Weigh-in began at 3pm and family and friends turned out to join the contestants. Everyone enjoyed BBQ from Peppertree Steaks and Wines and live music by the Tom Williams Band.
Of course, the best part of the day was that 100% of the proceeds went to support the Joy to Life Foundation and our efforts to assist in providing screenings and early detection of breast cancer for the medically underserved.
Our sincerest thanks to all our volunteers and especially to tournament coordinators Boyd Hodge and Terry Mullins for making the Pink Lure Tour such a success!

LIABILITY WAIVER, RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
2009 Weekend Angler Tournament Trail and Pink Lure Fishing Tour
As consideration for the privilege of participating in the Pink Lure Fishing Tour and the Weekend Angler Tournament Trail, I forever release, waive,
discharge, and covenant not to sue the Joy to Life Foundation, or any of its directors, officers, employees, agents, affiliates, attorneys, spouses, heirs,
successors or assigns.
I agree to hold each aforementioned party harmless and to indemnify each of them from liability arising from any and all claims—including those related to
my own negligence or from the negligence of any of them that may result in personal injury, accident, illness or death—and any costs, damages, actions, or suits
of any nature or kind that are in any way related to my participation.
I acknowledge that involve inherent risks, hazards, and dangers that cannot be eliminated. I UNDERSTAND THAT THESE INCLUDE, WITHOUT LIMITATION:
- Water hazards in boating and wading in the rivers, including drowning;
- Injuries from fishing equipment and other participants;
- Encounters with wildlife, animals, and insects;
- Extreme temperatures;
- Inclement weather conditions; and
- Unavailability of immediate medical attention.
I understand that these activities may require good physical conditioning and a degree of skill and knowledge. I believe I have that good physical
conditioning and the degree of skill and knowledge necessary to engage in these activities safely.
All participants of the Pink Lure Bass Tournament are subject to a polygraph test and must abide by the final results.
PARENTS AND GUARDIANS OF MINOR PARTICIPANTS SHOULD READ THE FOLLOWING TWO PARAGRAPHS CAREFULLY
The undersigned parent, guardian, or custodian, for himself/herself and on behalf of each minor for whom the undersigned is legally responsible, hereby
agrees to save and hold harmless, indemnify, and forever defend the Joy to Life Foundation, its directors, officers, agents, employees, volunteers, successors,
and assigns, from and against any claims, actions, demands, expenses, liabilities (including reasonable attorneys’ fees), and NEGLIGENCE made or bought by such
minor(s) or on behalf of such minor(s), as a result of the participation of such minor(s) in the activities of the Pink Lure Tour and/or the Weekend Angler
Tournament Trail.
The undersigned parent, guardian, or custodian further agrees not to sue the Joy to Life Foundation or any of its directors, officers, agents, employees,
volunteers, successors, and assigns, as a result of any injury, paralysis or death suffered by such minor(s) in connection with participation in the activities of,
or in any way related to, the Pink Lure Tour and/or the Weekend Angler Tournament Trail. I understand that by signing this Agreement I am obligating myself and
my spouse (if any) to compensate the Joy to Life Foundation, and its officers, directors, agents and volunteers, for any loss or expense incurred that is in any
way related to participation of the minor.
I have carefully read this Liability Waiver, Release and Indemnification Agreement and understand its contents. I
understand that by entering this Agreement I am giving up substantial rights, including the right to sue. I acknowledge that I am signing this Agreement
voluntarily, and that my signature represents a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by Alabama law. If any portion
of this Agreement is found invalid, I agree that the remainder shall remain in effect.
