9th Annual Walk of Life 2010

Registration has begun for the 9th Annual Walk of Life on April 17, 2010! Join us at Cramton Bowl in downtown Montgomery, Alabama and enjoy a 5K walk or run through historic Montgomery. The Walk of Life is the major fundraiser for the Joy to Life Foundation. It is intended to raise awareness and dollars to continue providing free mammograms for medically underserved women under 50 years of age in 28 counties in Alabama.

Onsite registration will begin at 7:00 am and the 5K Run/Walk event will start at 8:30 am. Enjoy some giveaways along the Walk while you join thousands of others in our fight against breast cancer. After the Walk, we'll meet inside Cramton Bowl for the Mighty Kid's Dash at 9:45 am along with live entertainment, lots of giveaways, free food and drinks, and the opportunity to visit with many local supporters at various tents. Prizes will be presented to the winners of each runners' category.

Registration is easy -- you can register online (top left button) or you can download a copy of the mail-in application to print and send to the Joy to Life Foundation. Once registered, a fundraising web page will be created for you automatically.

You will receive a confirmation email with a link to your personal fundraising website.

Click on your website link and have fun being creative. Add photos and text to share why you're joining the battle against cancer.

Email your website link to family and friends to give them the opportunity to support your efforts.

SPONSOR A TEAM or INDIVIDUAL: To sponsor/support a team or individual, please click on the DONATE ONLINE link. Then you will be able to enter the person or team name at the top, or click SEARCH to view a complete list. Once located, please select from the "Make a Contribution" section and then complete your donation process. If paying by check to sponsor an individual, please make your check payable to Joy to Life.

TEAM REGISTRATION: Team captains please click on the REGISTER ONLINE link to register your team and then each team member can sign up!

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION: Volunteers are needed! Click on the REGISTER ONLINE link and choose the "volunteer only" option instead of individual or team registration. Click here for more information on volunteer opportunities. PLEASE NOTE: Since volunteers are needed throughout the entire event, you will not be able to participate in the WALK/RUN.

We're looking forward to our 9th annual Walk of Life. In 2002,the first Walk of Life had 350 participants and raised $25,000. In 2009, we had over 3,300 participants and raised more than $160,000! Remember that 100% of the money raised at the Walk of Life stays in Alabama!
