The Joy to Life Foundation is proud to announce the final results from our 7th Annual Walk of Life Event for Breast Cancer that took place on April 19, 2008. Over 2800 people participated in this years Walk. That was a 27% increase over last year. We raised $120,000 which is a 33% increase over last year's Walk of Life. We want to thank all our Supporters and Sponsors for a remarkable event. "We Love That You Care!"

A special feature this year was the "My Story Booth" sponsored by AT&T and Thorlos. Survivors and family members came by and shared their stories. Check back soon for a special "My Story" feature and video on the website.

Next year's 8th Annual Walk of Life is scheduled to be held at Cramton Bowl on April 18, 2009. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. and the Run/Walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. It's a day of family fun complete with a Kid's Dash for children. The Mighty Kids Dash will begin at 9:45 a.m. and all participants will receive t-shirts, medals, and other special prizes.

The Walk of Life is the major fundraiser for the Joy to Life Foundation. It is intended to raise awareness and dollars to help pay for free mammograms for women under 50 years of age. All funds that are raised stay in the tri-county area.

Just like this year, you'll be able to register online, support someone who has already registered, sign up to volunteer or to make a donation. Or download a paper application to mail your registration. Registration forms will also be available at various sponsors - click here to find a convenient location.

Team registration will also be available online. Team captains will click on the Register Online link to register their team and then each team member can sign up!

To volunteer for the Walk of Life, you will still need to register however, choose the "volunteer only" option instead of individual or team registration.
